Our focus
Fairmont College Australia is an Australian higher education provider registered with TEQSA, built around one deliberate focus: early childhood. The people who teach our youngest children do some of the most important work in education, and they deserve a qualification, and a provider, that treats it that way.
We offer a single course so we can focus entirely on teaching it. The Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood prepares graduates of any discipline for careers as early childhood teachers and leaders, subject to applicable registration and employment requirements.
Our approach
Taught by experienced educators
You learn from respected early childhood academics and experienced practitioners, the people who teach your classes.

Small and personal
We teach small cohorts, so you get one-to-one mentoring and teaching staff who know you.
Academically serious
An AQF Level 8 award, TEQSA accredited and ACECQA approved, grounded in reflective practice, cultural competence and the wellbeing of every child.
Leadership & governance
Based in Melbourne, Fairmont is led by Professor Michael Stuckey (President & CEO) and overseen by a governance structure built for regulatory standards: a Governing Council for strategic direction and corporate governance, and an Academic Senate of experienced scholars and industry experts responsible for academic quality and curriculum approval.
The members of the Governing Council and the Academic Senate are listed on our Governance page.
